Yea not surprising. Laces wear our quick. I once had a HS parent tell me that her dd's new Wilson A2000 catchers glove laces broke because all of the girls on her dd's travel team throw over 65. Ummm no boo boo. Its normal wear and tear.

Bruce, just buy have to get another lacing kit and relace the glove. Will be good as new!

Mike, so you feel that's a normal wear & tear rate? 4 months? Hmmm, I could be out of touch here...

Yea man, I would just relace it and be done with it.

Happened to Angela's glove too. She had the Xeno Pro for a year before the lacing broke on that. Once I invested into some better lacing no issues for two years. Just bought her a Mizuno Pro Select glove. I already have the new lacing kit in hand ready to go.

I am absolutely not going to say one word......nope! Well besides just order you some Tanners lace.

I'll say it for you..."I told you so!" Yep, I know, I know. Considering what Vinci would have to spend to put in some higher quality lace during the initial glove build you'd think it would be a no-brainer.

In all the years my DD has been playing, with all of the different gloves she has used - Mizuno, Worth, All-Star, and Vinci - she has not broken a lace even once. It's also not something I see happening with her teammates.

I've seen it happen a few times over the years but NOT with the regularity or the newness of these Vinci's! Just had the original BV1929-L and the JCV-VM relaced with Tanners (by Roush). My catcher DD ended up liking her backup Liberty advanced better and that is now her main mitt. This Optimus is her mitt when she's playing 3rd so it hasn't even had that much game time yet. She does warm up mainly with her sister and yeah they throw hard at each other but... Of course, I'm just venting and will put some new (and better lace in it). I was a big fan of these gloves but perhaps they are for meant for the younger kids?

Hey Mike, have you had the Pro-Select long enough to form an opinion yet? And did you buy a baseball or softball Pro-Select?

Softball pro select. Its a beast of a glove to break in. But after about a solid two months of us working it in and playing catch with it, its just about game ready. I didn't put the glove in over or add any substances to it. Just wearing it in and getting it broken in .

I don't own one but I've got to handle one and catch a few balls with a 12.75" black w/tan lace Justballgloves exclusive, very impressive glove! Definitely a notch above the Global Elite series but a notch below the Mizuno Pro series. Definitely on par with a HOH and a A2000.
