DD1 uses a Ghost for HS. DD2-12u has one for ASA and swings a well used 2012 CF5 with thumprint for USSSA. The CF5 is hot but the ball just seems to jump off of the ghost! Is it 4/20 yet? Haha

I have seen the Ghost in HS ball this year and it definitely appeared hot and glad Core and others backed it up. With that said, it was also in the hands of some really good hitters that took it deep. As a matter of fact, almost all the home runs I have seen this year have come off a Ghost. But again, it came off a Ghost in the hands of really good hitters.

I very much want to buy my DD a Ghost as I haven't purchased a bat in awhile. Her pitching is lights out this spring and every week she continues to impress, however, her hitting still is much less than desired. With an emphasis on MUCH LESS! Can't justify putting the next great bat in a sub-par hitters hand at this point but hopefully that will change sooner than later. And when it does, Core, you will hear from me.

DD is playing 12u has been crushing the ball with the Ghost averaging 1HR per game in Rec but again it's rec I know. But she was doing damage all fall in travel with a PXT and I agree that bat sucks! Going to give Q-Pro a shot for non ASA tourneys as soon as Core gets them in.

I’m doing the same for my daughter. Waiting on that Q Pro for USSSA tournaments. She swings a Ghost now for H.S.

Compression definitely doesn't tell the whole story, and there is a point where bats get too broken in and start to decline (based on personal experience and scientific studies). Ethically you shouldn't roll or shave any bat imo (rolling isn't that bad though), and even if you throw morals aside there is little benefit (and a sizable downside in terms of bat life) in good modern bats.

With composite, compression is the best way. With the tech in a lot of new bats, they will never get too broken in as in terms of overly hot. They do have a hits life. Older comp bats def would
get so broken in, that they just went dead. bats would be insanely on fire..then thud...nothing...haha

I will not get into improvement cheaters can do to bats and how it would help...but it ABSOLUTELY DECREASES LIFESPAN BY A LOT!!
