How much of an issue do you think rolled/shaved bats really are in fastpitch? I guess it wouldn't be hard to get away with, even though it's a horrible lesson for youth. In youth girls fastpitch, I think the only time my daughter had a bat compression tested was at ASA nationals (her LXT got kicked out for a rattle in the knuckle). PGF Huntington Beach probably does it too. PGF regionals do not. Maybe the HS State tournaments test? Does the NCAA require testing before games?

I don't really know how bad it is in fp...I know the newer bats make it harder to do. But I don't think its as bad as sp was. Im sure you have
players/parents know certain things aren't tested and know they can get away with it. And usually those parents were prob ex sp guys....haha.

But all in all, it happens, but doubt its that bad. Rolling to me is a non issue because of the bats. There are inner barrel and discs and so on...you aren't gonna
do much to the bat besides break something...haha. And if you wanna roll a bat and chance breaking up some composite and cause a rattle which
umps seems to dislike, then good luck. Plus, if you roll it wrong, you will can cause bad paint cracks which will also get a bat tossed.

And yes, there are bat rolling places that charge you for the service...many are frauds and prey upon people that are trying to cheat.
So I guess the customer gets what he deserves for trying to cheat.

Ghost right now...I will stand by that no matter the haters out there or think im BS'ing. Lowest comp bat out there.

DD’s hs team has a “team” -10 Ghost. At the beginning of the season, dd was the only player going to the plate with a grey bat. Then the coaches started using the team Ghost for warmups. And accidentally smoking balls at the kids who immediately noticed it. Now most of the kids are swinging that Ghost. It took over the hs team just like it took over dd’s summer team. There are some absolute top bats waiting patiently by the dugout door, lol.

I even termed a phrase after watching tb, college and hs players muff ground balls hit by the new Easton’s. “Ghost effect”. I seriously think this thing is causing errors.

So no, Core is not b.s.ing.

And I’m glad the frauds are getting hosed. Serves them right. Hope they are paying full retail for bats that they are ruining too.

Yupper...I laugh when someone says they paid for a roll and it doesn't seem any better...because they prob didn't do anything...haha.
Or that they got it back and it already has mondo stress lines after one bp. Oh well, don't cheat. Do you really expect people
that are helping people to cheat, to all be upstanding folks? :)

So here is my question: Company “A” makeas an awesome ASA bat. And the players found that this bat was good. Company “A” then starts to produce the “same model” bat with a USSSA stamp on it. What has to be the differences in compression, and will it be immediately apparent that the USSSA bat is good/bad? Durability guesses?

Seems to me that if a kid knows they swing the Asa version well they will want to try the USSSA too. (This is one of those asking for a friend deals, no USSSA players in my house anymore.

Ghost question. :)

If anyone gets caught shaving both organizations should be able to together to ban them for at least a year, they can not even do that.

I agree with you, but said person wasn't caught playing in the other association. So cant ban someone from both if they were caught in a diff assoc.

Well, there doesn't have to be any difference in compression because Company "A"s bat now for usssa gets a pass on compression testing. Which I believe was part of a nice
check that usssa required. Two things needed... 1) bat cant have both stamps because usssa wants to be different 2) make check payable to Dedonatis Sr to get the stamp :)

So if a person was willing to buy both bats they have a pretty good chance of similar behaving bats?
