Help me order an A2000

Completely forgot that I promised photos! Dang things have been busy. Ordered the DW5 after recieving excellent advice from Annasdad.

DD has not yet used the glove. She loves it but with it arriving during tb season we just didn’t make the transition. I’ll add that making the switch from a Nokona was part of that decision. This glove is quite a bit different in feel from Nokona which I think is almost a “type” of glove more than just a brand of glove. We did order the extra stiff leather which I would do again as long as we didn’t need to immediately transition into the new glove. Up close it looks very well made.

I relaced the wrist Pedroia style but then loosened it one set of holes at her request. We haven’t messed with it since.

Hey.....there it is! Looks great Westwind! With my very little experience with Nokona’s but knowing how loose they can get, especially the Walnut leather........and you ordering an extra stiff custom, I bet they feel worlds apart different! Beautiful glove Ww, hope when she starts using it she loves it!

Remember the tighter the wrist button lap is, the harder the glove can be to close, it's just like pulling a velcro glove as tight as you can while the glove is still open, it fights against itself. And with this glove being extra stiff.......you get my point!

EDIT: I know it's the camera angle, but in the middle pic with the ball, the glove looks larger than I thought it would. I've held two (?) DW5's before and I thought both of them were just a little smaller than my Pro1000's, your DW5 looks like it has a very roomy pocket, and pretty wide! Cool looking glove, I've never been a fan of white welting & binding but it works great on this glove!

Annasdad- Funny you say that about the size! When I posted it I was thinking it looks like an 11 inch ball in the pic. I think it’s some what of a camera illusion. This glove is pretty close to perfect size for a high school or older player I think. In person the pocket looks just right to me- we are out in Washington for a few more days but I will do a few pics when I get home with her old glove too, the Wilson is definitely smaller than the 12” Nokona. I wish I remembered which Nokona she has... global elite or something? Thing looks like it has been dragged behind a truck.

I thought the same thing. I was examining a tan A2K DW5 in a local store recently, and it seemed really small to me. Westwind's custom looks great!
