I understand where you are coming from Core. And, I understand that every manufacturer has bats that break. And, I understand that people don't post about bats that don't break. But, this particular bat has far more questions attached to it than others that I've considered buying. I get that you're a guy selling this bat and that you've been an invaluable resource on this forum, but I'm still not ready to pull the trigger.

Not saying you should do something you don't want to, take your time and do what you feel comfy with. My comment was more
geared towards your durability statement not about you buying anything.

Saying this bat has more breaks than any other is incorrect. Has NOTHING to do with me trying to sell anything to you.

I will add this...had a guy call me for a Ghost...he had another bat that blew up on him 11 times in a year...said company
just kept replacing them for him.

A distinctively-shaped box was delivered to my office today. It can only mean one thing...NBD!! (New Bat Day)

33/23 Easton Ghost

(Thanks, Core!! 2 day delivery to So Cal is awesome!)

Ok, I clicked the Easton Ghost thing in this statement because it was highlighted...thought you had a pic. Then some "ghost" thing for
a Glock pistol came up...what the heck... Man, I am completely clueless about computers :)

Maybe it sounds like a gun going off? :)

That's not a link I put in. Something is running to automatically create links.

This will be coming from a guy who has Easton, Demarini and LS In his daughters bag right now.......I have never seen a bat with more cracking/breaking issues than the Demarini CF series. It almost scared me away from them completely but I couldn't ignore how much my daughter loved swinging It. I wouldn't hesitate to buy the Ghost In a heartbeat If my daughter was big/strong enough to swing It right now. Take a deep breath and order that awesome boom stick. Only a very small percentage of bats break and If you are the type of guy who teaches his DD to take care of her equipment, you will very likely not have any issues. If It does crack, at least Eason gives out two replacements. Sorry, I have Gear Acquisition Syndrome and right now Im having to live through you guys on this board.

POST EDIT: If you play a lot of USSSA then I can understand not buying one until the USSSA Ghosts come out In a few months. My daughters league follows their guidelines/rules which Is another reason I haven't gotten one myself.

Maddie hit a few buckets in our backyard cage last night with her new Ghost. My first impression is that this thing is LOUD! Being that our cage is only 30' long, it's hard to tell for sure, but it seemed like the ball was jumping off the barrel and whizzing by my head a little quicker than it does with her CF8. Maddie said that it feels "different" than her CF8, but couldn't offer any specifics about how it was different. Best of all, she loves it.

First of all, I can attest to it swinging lighter as far as swing weight goes compared to other bats. As many know, my Emily was a metalhead, i.e. RT and RF only. She fought tooth and nail against every bat manufacturer and their models until the Ghost. Core and I conferred and she is now in a 34/26 Ghost. SHe absolutely loves it to the point where I ordered a back-up last night. There were 2 reasons for this. First, I wanted her to have a practice bat that swings the same as her gamer and second, on an outside pitch, she chipped the barrel endcap. Is this the bats fault? Absolutely not. This happened to be a perfectly thrown pitch that my DD fouled off and it could have happened with any other bat out there including the Rt's. She's chipped numerous endcaps over the years. Then again, she's a hitter and sent many of those same pitches yard also.

IMO, the ghost is as fine a bat as you will find out there right now and the durability issues are no larger or smaller that other bat manufaturers have. The difference is this bat is hotter than most others and when you get a bat this hot, just like the CF9's from Demarini or the LXT's of LS, all you hear about is the failures and not the true drurability of them.

One other thing I will mention. The fault lies in the hitter usually, as in my DD's case or in the die-hard parents that insist that their DD hit 2000 practice balls a week. Just remember, a composite bat only has so many hits on it. Being the hottest bat it can be right out of the wrapper, means that the manufacturers are giving up durability over performance; and this is true of every bat manufacturer out there today. That's why Easton is willing to give a 2 bat warranty when others are only offering one because Ghosts are outperforming other manufacturers bats at the expense of durability.
Yes, it's a PIA to return them under warranty but what price are most of us willing to pay to see their DD's outperform others, especially in hitting. Also, Sh!t happens. No bat is ever perfect. If that was the case, there would be no more innovations in composite bats since they'd all be equal in performance if everyone had the perfect swing. Obviously, this isn't true right now.

That bat that blew up 11 times in a year...yup, that was the manufacturer right there. But nobody thinks twice and they just assume its gonna break at some point.
The Sprite is the biggest ticking time bomb CF model ever produced, but its their best seller...hmmmm. Nobody seems to mind the issue there. Why, because if they
made it more durable it would be poop :)

My daughter loves the Ghost. 34/24. No issues. It’s her favorite bat.

Just so I can be different. My DD absolutely HATED her Ghost. Didn't like the way it swung or the sweet spot. Was it all in her head? Probably. But then most of softball is all in your head.

She sold it and went back to her CF9 which she adores and mashes the ball with. Probably going to buy a couple of spare CF9's for her if I can find a decent price.

It's all about feel, what they like and what they have confidence in hitting. You might want to snatch up what you can now. The CFX is a dud and everyone's trying to go back to the CF9 so it's keeping the value higher than normal at the moment due to demand.

Oh yes I do agree with that all in their head stuff. My daughter hated the LXT. I might have a spare CF9, only used in one practice. Someone actually might be interested in buying it but I need to see if she still wants it. It’s a 33/23. She won’t that either. She’s either all Easton Ghost or she will use her Xeno for USSSA.
