In my experience with my own DD, and being a coach during her 8U-12U years, my observation was that kids generally need a new bat every year until their growth slows down. There are always some exceptions, but this has been the general trend for most players.

My DD is a pretty big 9-year-old (5', 95 lbs.), and she has gotten a new bat every season she's played. Some of her smaller teammates have tried to keep a bat more than one season, but by the end of the second season they're usually borrowing a bigger bat from a teammate.

2Legit will swing heavier than the CF and more durable than the CF...but I don't consider any new tech bat made withhin the past few
years a "real" cage bat. If you are looking for a bat to be able to hit 5000 times, look for a Mako or another Easton bat...they
are tanks and can be had cheap.

The 2Legit will weight about .75-1.0 ounce more than sticker.

Agree with Core. You can find a couple year old Mako pretty cheap.

EDIT to add...here is a couple I found on a quick search

She needs a 28/17 and the Makos are too big. That 2nd one is all aluminum buts thanks. We have s friend that has a Bustos we borrowed during a really cold tournament and she really liked it. Probably use it at practices, our dd’s are on the same team. As a side note, she broke her cf9 and got the cfx as a replacement and do far they aren’t liking it.

It sounds like our daughters are pretty close In age and size. My DD Is currently getting used to her CF9 29/18. She was swinging a 28/17 LXT. The CF9 weight and balance actually let her go up an inch In size while maintaining the same actual weight of the 28/17 LXT. I really cant wait until she gets out of th -11 weight class. Ive just heard too many bad stories of bats breaking In that weight drop and the options really open up with you get to 30" -10. Im itching to pull the trigger on a Ghost 30/20 and let her grow Into It. Or a Stealth Flex as a practice/cage bat, I dont think that comes In a -11 though. I know It doesn't make any sense to do that right now as the USSSA approved Ghosts are coming out later this year. Id rather have a bat that can play across the board. One less thing to worry about. Feel free to message me anytime If you want to talk bats, equipment ideas or anything at all. I find myself dealing with many of the issues Ive seen you talk about here.

Your DD isn't the only one. Everyone I've talked to that has purchased one or had a CF9 replaced with one, are FAR from impressed with it and looking to dump them ASAP. They either want to go back to the CF9 or are looking at Ghosts for the most part.

Maybe they should ask the people in the trenches that actually deal with the products on a daily basis and know what could help...oh wait, they cut a lot of them out so they
could make more money and the big named stores could rip more parents off...hahaha :)

A dad on our team was saying the other night that he was about to order a cfx, I think I talked him into an LXT. I don’t know anyone with the LXT but I’ve heard enough bad about the CFX that I think his dd will be happier with the LXT. I really wanted one for my dd but caught the CF9 on sale cheap enough that it didn’t make sense not to go that way. Any negatives with the LXT in -11 sizes? His dd currently uses an Easton Hyperlight and hits ok with it for her size and age.

Not that I'm aware of. They had quality/longevity issues on their early runs but that was quickly remedied. As far as I'm aware, since that time, it was a great bat. I've had past older players that used them and loved them. Now their replacement model, the PXT? A total dud from what my past players that moved from the LXT and purchased it are telling me.
