I didn't major in packaging science so there may be a better way to get things to fit. If Texag has a suggestion, I’m all ears.

Everything fits. The shins are nestled inside each other on the left side and the chest is folded in half at the bottom of the bag. As you can see, there is still room for catcher helmet, batting helmet, and both gloves with ball inside. There are also two balls in the ball pocket. She has turf shoes in one cleat cage and metals in the other. Nothing is stored inside the helmets.

To keep the bats from hanging up in the bag as you put them in, I cut some 2.5” pvc pipe to 32.5” and put them in the bat storage. Then the bats slide right in without hanging up on any of the equipment.

DD plays at 18u level, so none of her equipment is small.

DD is extremely happy with the new Brute bag. She could put two sets of gear in it with ease. Having to pack things in a specific order is very time consuming when you’re trying to get out of the dugout. The Brute zips from top to bottom so access is great. Has a mesh pocket for batting gloves and a top pocket for cell phone and keys. Definitely an upgrade from the Cobra XL and NoE2 IMO. If the durability is there, this will be a great purchase.

Thanks much, TexAg, the pic was very helpful. We obviously didn't spend enough time trying to figure it out the first time. Maybe your DD can help mine organize her closets next. :D

With the way the gear is packed now I took another stab at keeping the compartment divider in and was able to do that, but had to cram the shins in quite a bit because the compartment isn't quite long enough. I think the divider is important if you plan on hanging the bag on a fence, otherwise the contents of the main compartment displace when you remove lower items.

I still think the bag is a bit cramped and items have to be packed just right to make it all fit, but overall it works good enough. If it holds up over time as TexAg said, it'll be worth the $.

DD packs her gloves (with balls in the pocket) inside the helmets. Makes it a lot easier to zip up/not stretch out the main zippers.

They’re in there, nestled inside each other, on the left side of the pic. Look closely and you’ll see a bit of them peeking out behind the catchers helmet.
