I'm looking to buy dd a new pair of metal cleats. I've always had good luck with Ringor, however I've heard some good things about Mizuno and New Balance too....
Any thoughts or suggestions on any brands?

This is our first year in metal cleats, so not sure about metal in particular. But Ringor is the only brand cleat we have found that will hold up to my DD for an entire season/year. They are so much more durable than the other cleats we have tried over the years (Nike, Mizuno, etc.). We do have Boombah turf shoes, and she really likes those. So maybe Boombah cleats would be an option?

I like Ringors the best coach, my DD don't! My DD loves the Mizuno 9-spike advanced sweep the best, but buying 3 pairs of those to 1 pair of Ringors don't work well with me! She says those Mizuno's just feel better to her. The pitching toes on the Mizuno's are a joke! Never tried New Balance, one girl on Anna's TB team swears by them, she buys the men's version.

My kid is currently using New Balance, and likes them a lot, but we replaced the stock insoles almost immediately. She also prefers mids rather than low-tops. They are slightly lighter than the Nike Force Trout 3 she was using before.

Personally, I love that my DD is now wearing metal cleats. She was wearing plastic cleats down to nubs every 3-4 months, far quicker than she was wearing out the tops.

The only cleats DD will wear are Nike for some reason. She says they just fit her foot better. She has tried on Under Armour, Mizuno, and New Balance, but always goes back to Nike. That being said she had never tried Ringors. For turfs she wears Boombah, but never tried their cleats. I absolutely hate ordering shoes online with out her having tried on a pair, but the only cleats most stores around here carry are molded. Every year we go to the store to try on molded cleats, and end up ordering a metal version online since most stores don't stock them.

The boombah metals we had were garbage. Quality was aweful. Seams ripped out within a game or 2. Teammate had the same issues

DD has had many pairs of Mizuno spikes, but I decided to pick up the New Balance for her HS season last spring and she likes the way they feel the best.

DD never liked Ringors - way too narrow for her feet. She has worn Mizunos for the last 4 years - they hold up well, light weight and comfortable. And if you watch the sales you can get them online for a really reasonable price...

Try on as many as you can. I relate cleats to bats; everyone has a favorite as to what feels best. DD has a wide foot at the balls of her feet and a narrow heel. Wore Nike baseball cleats forever. Tried ringor wides last year and loved them.
