Can we still use this?

This '13 Xeno is Dd's favorite bat. Still has TONS of pop. 33/23. Can we still use this bat or is it on its way out? I don't know anyone whose bat looked like this after a while, so I'm reaching out to you fine folks here at DFP...

Maybe just get a damp cloth with water and wipe it down figure out what is dirt, what is scratches? biggest thing is how deep those nicks go if it is just paint no biggie but if there are gashes or dents you will get called on it sooner or later

So Cal
The two parallel diagonal lines tell me that it's probably cracking and on the verge of failure.

This was my first thought as well. I'd have to see it to inspect it closer to determine if those were just chips and cracks in the paint or if they were deeper into the bat.
A bat in this condition is likely to be more closely examined by an umpire during a pregame check, so the likelihood that it may not be allowed is probably higher.

Been stuck at work so haven't been able to thoroughly check the bat. Assuming I'd have to buy a new bat, does anyone know if it's a big deal going from a drop 10 to a drop 8. Saw a 2016 Xeno on sale but it's 2 ounces heavier than the one Dd swings now. Do those 2 ounces really make that much a difference?
