Is there any harm to a regular hitter using a Demarini Slapper?

We have a new kid who is using a slapper but hitting regularly. I hate to have her parents go out and buy a new bat if there wouldn't be a real advantage to her switching.

Thanks.

No harm - the bat is just loaded to the handle (AFAIK) and the wrap is wrapped the opposite direction so it will stay on longer without unraveling due to left handed swings...

My daughter switched to one near the end of the season (she is a single hitter, and bunter) and started hitting doubles.

It may be slightly less durable if she is hitting bombs.
My DD loves it but she is a slapper/bunter who can hit away as well. She has hit the fence a couple times - but she slaps more than hits. She loves the control it gives her especially when she is bunting or soft slapping.

Dd11 uses hers to hit away. It's hard for me to say if it's any hotter for her than her Sprite because when I bought it, she went through a pretty big growth spurt. She's hit the fence a couple of times in games and went yard during a batting practice with it.

No harm at all. It actually has surprisingly good pop to it. DD has a homer and several extra base hits with hers. Historically she has been a slapper/bunter about 90% of her at bats, which is why we got the Slapper bat last year. Now that shes getting extra base hits coaches have her slapping a lot less, but she's still swinging the same bat.
