DD has had her Ghost for a few weeks now and likes it. She has used it in two tournaments so far. No stories of towering home runs but overall she is hitting it well. She has used it the last 2 times she has worked with her hitting coach and I wanted to pass along his feedback to the group.

First off her hitting coach is a college assistant coach and gives hitting lessons to around 100 girls so he sees every kind of bat out there. DD is 12 and has been going there for almost 3 years. When she hits with the Ghost the coach literally jumps even when sitting behind a net. I asked him about it and he said "that bat is HOT!". He has one other student that has one and he said they are the hottest bats out there. He even stopped one of his friends who was doing lessons in the same facility and asked him if he'd seen the bat yet and then went on to tell him how hot it was.

No earth shattering scientific evidence but I thought the group may find input from someone who lives and breathes softball and watches girls hit all day long valuable.

DD has had hers since June and has used it in about 10 games and a tournament. It is her favorite Easton bat and it definitely has more pop than her Stealth or Makos. After batting practice this morning we noticed a crack or something that looks like one,but it looks like the crack has not come through the paint yet.We are thinking we'll hang on and wait until after tryouts in September before we do the warranty claim this way she will have a new ghost for next year.IMG_2223.jpg

Haha! ,Nice one! This has turned out to actually be a good thing as she has been using her Stealth that was sitting in the closet all season and she has really grown to like it!

Don't use bats for BP...I try to tell people that with any new model bat from any manufacturer. New bats aren't made to hit 5000 balls anymore.
Take the wrapper off, hit some BP to get the feel for it...then put away for games/tournys.

I had a customer tell me they hit BASEBALLS in soft toss!!!!!!!!!!! Should they do that or not with new bats? NOOOOOOOOOOOO! Hahaha

But actually, if I understand, you get 2 returns from Easton. Why not use one? Plus, your bat is only 3 months old, I would have tried to get a free return out of it.
No guarantee they do it, but no harm in trying...haha

And Bomber...that bat is going to crack. If it were going horizontal with the barrel...I wouldn't care. I think the composite has
started breaking under that and its only a matter of time before it pops up thru it.

Just a follow up to DD's EASTON Ghost. After talking with an Easton Warranty rep from Quebec this morning I have decided to send the bat in for a replacement. She told me that we are entitled to 2 bat replacements in one year from date of purchase and possibly more than 2 depending on the issue. The bat was cracked, but also last week at tryouts we noticed the rubber connexion piece is ripped which the rep said is also covered under our warranty.I noticed compared to her Makos and Stealth that this rubber piece is quite a bit thinner which has me thinking it could rip again on her replacement bat.Something else I didn't know is that the replacement will be marked "Not For Resale"

I asked when Easton will be coming out with the USSSA stamped Ghosts and she told me that they will come out late August of next year for 2019.

All replacements bats are marked with something. Some stamp "warranty replacement" on it, some stamp a "w" on the endcap, some stamp "no return" on it,
Easton stamps "not for resale".

Just stops people from trying to sell warranty replacement bats as fully returnable bats. Helps protect people.

Also, some of the "big stores" out there get a ton of demo bats for free...they also mark them the same way so these guys cant just add to their stock
and make huge money on them.
