Need something to catch my kid. Been using a Rawlings CC series for 3 years and it was good. Nice padding and worked well for large hands but it's about ready to be replaced.
DD uses Vinci in the field but I hear that the mitts take long to break in. Need something that has quick break in and will fit a large hand.
Any suggestions.
Thanks!

Someone mentioned that Vinci will break glove in for you for free, just will take a few weeks to get the glove.

(Post #4 would be the someone. Sorry, could not remember for moniker for some reason. :))

Why do you need a glove already broken in for bucket time, bucket time is the prefect time to break in new gloves...that is how I broke in all my DD's new gloves.

If you don't mind a few weeks (2-3 weeks on avg) wait - Vinci will factory break in the glove. I haven't received my first catcher's mitt yet but the fielding gloves have been about 50% broke in. That would be for a Kip or Steerhide glove. Could also go with a Fortus. One of my DD's AC uses one to warm up the girls (who on avg throw low to mid 50s) and he is a bigger guy, 6'4ish - has no complaints. Will break in a few weeks.

Send me a message if you want a quote.

Just laziness :)
And wanting a glove that I can go with from day 1. I see your point :)

Sidetrack post a little bit, well a lot. :)

I never were DD's glove, I am twice her size. I am worried I will mess up the figure stalls or whatever you call them.

Is that a valid concern?

All-Stars CMW4000. DD's has had one the past 3 years through HS and TB both. It continues to go strong and it took me approximately 2 days to break it in. Then again, she also takes very good care of it. She wipes it down extremely well and conditions it once a month. When it goes in her bag it is folded around a ball and put inside her catching helmet to hold the shape and pocket etc. etc.

Yes and no. If you wore it regularly like 3-4 times a week to catch her pitching, then yes. Maybe once every couple of weeks then no.

I have average size hands and thin finger that are not much bigger than my DDs. For someone with hands like a grizzly bear, or fingers the size of bratwurst, it might be an issue.
