I finally found somewhere that DD could demo both the 2018 Xeno and PXT in her size (34/26). An online supplier has their warehouse 1 hour from where we are playing Nationals and they agreed to let DD come over and swing both bats. I will let you know her thoughts on both!

LOL when my scrawny little, 100#, 13yo girl started swing the 32" drop 9 Rocketech's people thought she was nuts. BTW that Rocketech's actual weight is 26.9oz. The two seasons she used it she led her team in BA and on-base %.

Now at 15yo she's 115# and swings a 33" Xeno drop 8's and people still freak out saying she should be swinging a drop 10. BTW the Xeno's actual weight is 25.5oz.

DD was able to demo the PXT, 2018 Xeno and Ghost today. She wasn't able to hit the -8, (they had them in stock but not to demo apparently).so she swung the PXT in a 34/24, the Xeno in a 34/25 and the Ghost in a 33/24. Here's what she thought:
PXT: definitely heavily end-loaded compared to the Xeno. At first contact in the batting cage she nearly dropped the bat. She said that the vibration was "really bad" to the point of hurting her hands. And she is 250' power hitter so not a wimp. She hated the bat.
2018 Xeno: She said that it felt very similar to her 2016 Xeno. Liked the bat even if it was too light.
2018 Ghost: This was the bat she was most excited to swing even though it is not currently available in a -8 (although they did say that they just got word that it would be available at the end of August). She liked the bat "as long as you hit it square" - otherwise it had a significant vibration but not anywhere as bad as the PXT.

Xeno was her choice of the 3. Maybe her observations will help someone else...

It's all about personal preference, but a bat that provides similar feedback on sweet spot contact and mis-hits isn't necessarily a good thing IMO. Vibration is a form of feedback that a good hitter can use to refine their swing to create more consistent sweet spot contact. This is one of the advantages of training with wood. When evaluating bats it is also best to try to quantify/estimate relative performance (i.e., exit velocity and/ or distance) in addition to considering the feel (and, of course, color and graphics )

I really like to hear players impressions etc when they can try bats side by side.

I also like GM's comments on bat testing for each player.
