I looked at the Global Elite GGE10BK baseball glove and I think that I like the web design better on the Global Elite 12" Fastpitch GGE50FP. Also, I know that velcro is controversial but I know my daughter would prefer it as well. ... I think I'm talking myself into the GGE50FP. LOL

Hey ez, I know you said your DD is wrapping up her last year of 14U, what size girl is she, mainly what size hands does she have? I just recently picked up a Kyle Seager Rawlings ProNP6-6JB. It's a 12" model that measured 12.25" which is backwards for Rawlings, they usually measure a 1/4" shorter than their listed size. I promise you this glove blows away all 3 gloves you have on your list, period!

I ask about her hand size because the hand stall is a little roomier than the all the Vinci's I've handled, mainly comparing it to the 3 or so RV1961's I've played with. Never had a BV1929 in my hands before. But the NP6 is not huge by any means. Quality is outstanding! Plus there's some really good deals going on this model right now.

Take a strong look at the All Star Vela 3 finger glove. It has finger stalls like a catchers mitt. Two in the pinky and it has a huge pocket in a 12" glove

Man 15yo daughters are fun to deal with... LOL. We went and looked at gloves today just to put our hands on some and see if we could pin down some of the variables. Based on what we have discussed and looked at today, I think my safest bet is to go with either the 12" or 12.5" Mizuno Global Elite for softball.

I'm leaning towards the 12.5" as she does like the web design better and the size is more to her liking. Now, I just have to figure out whether to go with the VOP/tan version or the black version.

Alright, we ordered (2) different Mizuno Global Elite gloves to try out. I'll let her choose whichever one she likes. I'll be pushing her towards the smaller GGE50FPV which I'm hoping will arrive a little softer due to the VOP process. In any case, both gloves should be nice and will hopefully meet her needs through HS.

I'll update things next week.:p

The gloves showed up today and WOW these gloves are very, very nice. I really wanted my daughter to go with the smaller 12" GGE50FPV with the VOP treatment, dual lace web and tan color. She is used to a 12.5" and initially liked the GGE10FP better because of the size and color. The GGE10FP also came slightly more flexible than the GGE50FPV but I could tell that the smaller GGE50FPV was going to break-in nicely with the dual laced web. Both gloves were well on their way to a dual hinge break-in upon arrival.

I talked her into putting on the GGE50FPV and we went out and fed about 500 balls through the Jugs machine. After that session the glove is probably 80-85% game ready. A couple more sessions with the Jugs machine and it will be ready to go.

Thanks all for the advice!

After just a couple weeks my daughter is locked-in and fully comfortable using the 12" GGE50FPV. Glove has broken in with a beautiful 2-hinge pocket. I highly recommend the Global Elites they are an outstanding glove and the break-in was not too bad. We did not do anything funny to break-in this glove ie baking etc. All we did was fire up the Jugs machine and catch around 2000 machine balls over 2-3 days. We used a glove wrap with a ball in the pocket and applied a very lite coat of glove conditioner a couple times. We used Hot Glove Cream Conditioner made of Lanolin ad Vitamin E. This stuff is about $5. It will last a long time, I've put a lite coat on 1/2 dozen gloves and still have 80-85% of the tub left.

If any one wants/needs the other glove we ordered... a brand new Global Elite 12.5" GGE10FP Infielder/Pitcher Glove let me know. It hasn't even caught a ball and I haven't put anything on it at all. It's as it was when we bought it other than my daughter tried it on. I'll make you a deal.
