I already own this tee...bought it years ago when DD was starting after getting crushed by a team that had several of them. I think everyone agreed that the website had pretty bad instruction on it with the hitters chopping down on the ball but those that owned it knew that the ball was actually raised above the arm, so you could get a slight uppercut. One major problem I had with the actual tee was that if it got hot, a softball would make the front drop down a little, so the ball wasn't as high above the arm. That would make it difficult on a good swing to miss the back of the tee. I eventually put a small level on the top arm and would prop it up in the front. Later, I took the "casting attachment" and lowered it, turned it to the back of the tee with a little weight on it. That lifted the front slightly so when a ball was on it, it would level out. It was a little bit of a pain in the butt so I made a DIY Taner Tee and that tee is awesome. However, we just started using it again but to make it better, I just took off the brush in the front and raised it with a small stack of large washers. This worked out perfectly so if you already have one and had the same problem as me, I'd recommend it. You can hit nice rising line drives but the arm still can help with too much of a drop in the barrel.
I did just notice on Muhl's website that they've made a couple improvements. The casting attachment is now attached to the back of the flat arm on the top instead of the upright stem of the tee. I'm guessing they did that for the same reasons as my moving mine. I'm not sure if they raised the brush at all but it looks like they may have. I have seen several sites that sell the same one as I have so I wouldn't recommend that version.
Anyway, just some ramblings while bored at work:)
