Ok... The hot rumor at the ballpark last week was that you should not buy an Easton Ghost because it would be illegal for high school play.

I'm not going to speak for all states but in every state I am aware of, the state athletic governing body adopts NFHS rules for hs softball.

NFHS requires that a bat have a 2000 or 2004 ASA stamp and Not be listed on the ASA unnaproved bat list. Ghost has a 2004 ASA stamp. You can currently use it in high school in my state. If your state adopts NFHS rules for hs, I don't know why you couldn't use Ghost. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I believe PGF requires the same and tests bats prior to tournaments. Correct me if I'm wrong.

If you play USSSA you need the USSSA thumbprint stamp. Ghost does not have that stamp.

If you play NSA, you need the NSA 2012 stamp. Ghost does not have that stamp.

I absolutely hate misinformation. If I'm wrong, let me know. If you are aware of other sanctions rules, let it fly here.
