Does anyone have a recommendation for a catcher's mitt that has the loudest pop? I would like to use it for a positive reenforcement for my pitching daughter.

Pop comes from the catcher not the glove. It's all about timing. A mitt with a closed web tends to be louder IF you know how to catch

My DD's glove has a nice loud pop when the ball hits it just right.
She uses an All-star. She loves it - lots of pop noise but no sting.

I think it depends more on how the catcher receives it. If it hits the web clean, it should pop.

Higher quality leather definitely pops better than cheaper leather. U get what you pay for in this regard. Brand new Nokonas are hard as a rock and bang especially loud.

I agree it depends on where the ball is caught but DDs A2K seems to have good pop. When she guest played a couple weeks ago a few parents were talking about how hard their pitcher was throwing because of how loud the pop was. Maybe the glove helped but I really don't know.

I have an All-Star CMW3000 and a Vinci JCV-22, both excellent mitts. I use both to catch my DD, if I do my job correctly, the All-Star is louder.

The web design has a big impact on the sound and catching the ball squarely in the web provides maximum pop.
