DD doesn't like using her Easton Mako Torq because 1) It's green and 2) Anything she hits stops as soon as it touches grass. Before the season started I found some cheap bats from Combat that were too big, but I figured cheap enough to buy and put up for the future. Well she started wanting to use one of them because 1) It was blue and prettier and 2) She really doesn't like the easton.

Saturday she wasn't hitting the greatest with her Easton so DH let her use the way too large combat. I told her she needed to choke up on it and if she couldn't hit the ball with it because it was too heavy, the bat was going back in the attic never to be seen again until she grows 10 inches and gains 40-50 more lbs. Well go figure she choked up and hit her first homerun of the season. I'll admit that the combat does seemingly have a lot more pop to it than the mako torq, but it's too freaking big for her!

So now I need suggestions on a good bat with a -10 that has a lot of pop because I don't want her using a bat too long and too heavy for her. I was looking at the CF9's, but I'm not sure whether the regular model or the insane version would be better. Or maybe a Xeno or LXT.

My daughter has a Xeno and a CF9 that she is switching back and forth. The Xeno seems to have more pop at the moment, but honestly I think both bats are good. She does not like the LXT at all. Go figure. It's just a personal preference. I have a -9 LXT barely used sitting around. I know that's too heavy for your DD. I'll probably end up selling it at some point

Thanks! I'm leaning towards the Xeno a little more now.

DD is playing with 4 bats right now, LTX, cf3, mako and cf9.

Once the season starts 1 of those bats will be her hands and she will not switch. I think it is going to be Ltx.

If she is struggling hitting silly young lady goes out hitting.

I would suggest letting your DD try some teammates bats during BP to see what she likes. My DD always like Xeno's, but we recently switched to a CF8 since she will have to use a Demarini in college. There are some good deals on CF8s online after the CF9 came out.

Is your DD a bigger/stronger player, who regularly drives the ball hard and deep? The Insane is end-loaded, and will feel like a heavier bat. These bats are generally preferred by power hitters. That said, there are lot of home runs hit a long way by players at the highest levels with "balanced" bats.

Finding the "perfect" bat is about personal preference. What's great for one player might no be so great for the next one.

I would skip the insane model for now, nice bat. I would go balanced bat, not end loaded.

Xeno and LTX are both really nice bats, they are pretty too.

Xeno has a slight end load.

My DD can't stand the way LS bats sound, and won't even consider one.
