    Default Batting helmet face mask

DD's team uses the Ripit helmets but the face mask is very narrow from the brim of helmet to upper bar of face mask. She would like to have one that has maximum distance from brim while still blocking a 12" ball. Any suggestions on replacement helmet face masks (or helmet brand that has wide eye slot opening)?

Schutte and Easton seem to be pretty wide. I'll see if I can get some pics of the ones we have.

DD's both have used all helmets listed except Demarini and prefer vision out of Ripit

I will say too the Ripit seems bigger than most as well but I'll have to look at our collection.

Just a heads up that helmet face guards are not necessarily interchangeable between brands or even models within a brand. You may have to do some minor modifications to make them work.

I tried looking for replacement masks before and didnt have much luck.

Instead, I took the mask off the helmet, pulled the upper bar to force a bit bigger opening but it still blocks a 12" ball. Took about 2 minutes. Works great,

Im not sure you can cross brand a face mask, I could be wrong as the DD has always used an Easton helmet with an Easton face mask. In fact the reason we always went with an Easton helmet Is because It had the best opening for her. Last Fall she decided she felt more comfortable with It off.
