hahaha, I have heard its a love hate with the grip. Like 50% love the thin grip, 50% hate it

Although that rack doesn't have any factories left on :)

Yes it does. The two with a little silver left on them are the factory grips. The silver wears off fairly quickly down to black.

Looks like people really love the factory grip on the Ghost, lol. Both of ours were replaced within 10 minutes of getting them.

Funny story..ok not funny at the time. Got my 8 year old DD a Marucci from Core (thanks Core she loves it) and she really liked the grip. She likes a thicker handle, which I couldn't stand when I played, but whatever. We were hitting at the field last week and I lost track
of my 3 year old son for 2 minutes while we were shagging the balls. Well in that 2 minutes he managed to unwrap the whole grip..Dad and DD were not pleased. Luckily I got her
some lizard skin which was somewhat similar and she seems to be ok with that...

Wow!!! That's not what I've seen at all in my area of the world.

When is the last time you looked? If I recall, the observations that you noted were from late last year. At that time, we weren't seeing a lot of Ghosts, either. 6 months later, it's a very different story. The level of play will also make a difference. Rec ball and school ball, you see a lot fewer top-shelf bats of any manufacturer. In TB, every player is using a top-shelf bat.

I've looked the last 3 weekend tourneys and bags/racks are still dominated by Demarini and LS. These tourneys were fairly large tourneys in the NW so, I would be willing to bet that some of this is regional.

Cracked or webbing? Thoughts on this passing umpire inspection? Bat seems hotter than ever right now, but it would break DD's heart if it failed inspection in National Qualifiers which is 2 weeks away.

Probably been posted quite a bit here, but DD's ghost was way hotter out of the wrapper than when she got 400+ hits on it. Seemed to get "deader" as she hit it.

It developed an internal rattle, so I sent it back before the warrenty expired late last month. New/replacement is here and once again it is WAY hotter out of the wrapper. (She had put the old one down and picked up the LXT, but is now back to the Ghost).

Not sure what Nationals, but ASA/USA has always given thorough inspections; visual and feel along with compression tests. Doubt it will pass their inspection.
