They are the same bats...I mean, color could be lighter or darker because they run bats in batches. One batch last year could be a slight
diff shade. Never really looked. Bit its the SAME BAT

UGGGH. End cap just cracked on our 9 month old. Like a chunk of the end cap chipped off. Will Easton cover this? Came during an at bat and a foul ball cant find the chipped off part however. About 75% of the end cap is still in tact.

Yeah, they will cover, no worries. Wish you could have found the piece...you could just put back on, glue and keep the bat.

And before people get all crazy...all bats will have issues when you hit a ball of the cap just right...haha :)

Rookie question: I’m putting a lizard skin wrap on dd’s Ghost. Do I need to remove the old one? Her hitting coach said the original is about thin enough to put the new one over it.

Take the old one off. I have never worried about scraping residual glue or anything but I would take the grip off. If parts of the old grips fabric are stuck to the bat handle you can peel that off as much as possible but you don’t have to overdo it.

If you haven’t done it before, don’t sweat it. If you have to unwrap the new one and try again it isn’t that big of a deal. Just try not to touch the adhesive any more than you have to. Just look at the lizard skin grip videos on YouTube, decide on how much overlap and give it a go. Stretch it lightly- resist the urge to stretch it. The pattern on the grip will help you overlap a consistent distance. The lizard skin grip will be longer so it will go a bit farther up the handle. Use a wrap or two of electrical tape to secure it at the handle. Stretch that tight. Any Home Depot or menards etc will have different colors of electrical tape btw.

Take it off for sure.

Lizard Skins are easy, just make sure when you peel the protective wrap off you’re exposing the adhesive. That’s the only tricky part.
Good videos on YouTube. I trim about 4-5” off as they are made for baseball bats. There’s a video or two for doing this for fastpitch bats. It’s easier than it looks. We’ve had no issues replacing them.

Also, if she likes a thicker grip, get the 1.8mm size. The 1.1 will be more like the factory wrap.

This is 1.1 Lizardgrip full length. Though Easton claims 1.1mm I'd say its closer to .5 mm lizardgrip. And yes DD still rocks pink.

Actually, the .5 will be more like the og grip for a Ghost like Indian said.

You will get a better stick if you remove the old grip and will be a better, more consistent feel. Don't know anybody that would suggest
to keep the old grip on when regripping.

Have I had someone do it, yes, but only one I think...haha.

Apparently Florida is liking the Ghost, looked like a home derby yesterday. I did notice one girl using a Mako though.
