The post on this bat in the main forum (thanks for mentioning this post KCPRK) states that the rep told them they were sure the full release in September would be stamped for USSSA. The talk in here is that this will forever be an ASA only bat. Was the rep just BSing the poster or is there a chance they somehow get this cleared eventually. I would love to get one of these for DD to tryout but we play about 90% USSSA.

Core20 is a dealer and I trust him. Let him weigh in on your question.

I don't trust anything until I see it. Could it happen, yes. But I would never say it WILL then be responsible for
people that play usssa buying the bat and it not happening.

But I don't see WHY it wouldn't have the stamp now if usssa was going to allow it. Maybe it takes
usssa longer to test and allow...who knows.

Easton was just
the first to say screw it, why not. /QUOTE]

Sounds a lot like "blowing off" to me Todd. If Easton is saying "screw it" to an entire organization that a percentage of youth fastpitch players participate in the end result is the same. I'm not saying that they shouldn't come forward with their technology if it is meeting some org's standards, I was simply trying to understand how many people and potential bat purchases they said "screw it" to. USSSA seems like a big player. Is it possible that they will review their compression standards and allow this bat? Would that upset all the folks that think the women's game should be slowed down via "less" hot bats or balls? ;-)

You are acting like this is something personal...its a bat not allowed in usssa, that's it. Its not like they sat there
and said...screw people that play usssa. They needed a great bat, prob did some research on potential sales
and wanted to show they could finally compete and make a bat better than anybody in ASA since standards are a bit different there.
They needed confidence, themselves and customers as well. Nobody said they weren't going to make a usssa bat, or who said usssa
might not come around and allow it? I have NO doubt Easton will have a bat with a usssa stamp. How they work it, I don't
know yet. And whats a better way to break back into a market that you haven't done well than for people to say, wow, that
bat is great, now we can start to believe in Easton again.

Could usssa allow it, that's up to usssa. Not Easton.

Maybe people should be a little more upset at different standards for each association. Not a bat manufacturer
playing by the rules.

Again, simply asking questions and trying to understand how this industry works. We all spend considerable $$ on this sport and I've bought a bunch of Easton's over the years (the last couple from you). In many industry's there is some type of council that involves the trade organizations, service providers, product manufacturers, etc. that discuss things such as this that impact the industry as a whole. I'm not taking anything personal or getting upset at any individual manufacturer over this and I think if you read my posts you'd see I was wondering about the associations role in this type of issue as well.
Peace out, relax and have a good day.

I wasn't mad either, was trying to just let you know none of this is a "slight" on any association that people play or
the players of those associations.
The same thoughts were said when sp went to separate bats, but they had to because ASA allowed different bats
that hit THEIR ball better. If you didn't buy an ASA specific bat, you were swinging a below performance bat compared to
the ones that were ASA only bats.
I guess I'm more used to this because sp has had association specific bats for quite some time because of the different standards. So not
much of an shock to me. Problem is, the associations make their own rules. You aren't going to have anybody tell
ASA or USSSA they have to do anything or change anything, just not gonna happen. They each run their assoc the way they want.

Again, usssa could turn around and allow the bat later. It could only require some greasing of the
usssa palms to allow the bat...hahaha. Now the problem comes in...we all know umps. This bat doesn't have
the stamp. You see where I'm going with this.

This is the problem with being addicted to bats. I want to get one at the June date but I can see them coming out with the same bat with all stamps next fall. But if I wait until then it will probably just stay ASA stamped and I'll be right back on the fence about buying one. #softballdadproblems

You're not helping Greg...

In all honesty, I'm just trying to avoid buying one now and then having to buy another if it gets the USSSA stamp later. I know umps will hassle DD if the proper stamps aren't there.
