Looking for thoughts on the best alternative the the Demarini Cf9 -11. That bat is far and away the most popular bat in 10U tournaments that we see. 9 of our 11 girls swing it and I see similar ratios on other teams. The is without question hot. The problem we have is that we are breaking them constantly. At last count I believe we have broken 15 in just a few months. My daughter just broke her warranty bat in 10 days an she weighs 65 lbs. We live down south so we are not swinging them in cold weather. I'm hoping Demarini will step up and replace the warranty bat, but we're all starting to think about trying another brand. What does everyone think is the next best option? Anybody have any experience with this new Dirty South Lady Swag bat?

What type of use are the bats seeing? We have high school girls hitting bombs over the fence in cold weather and the bats are just fine.

Everybody says they are more durable once you move to -10, but I don't think most of them are ready yet. They are playing A and B class 10U tournaments. We have had quite a few break in a matter of weeks.

How about -11 LXT Louisville Slugger. My daughter has one and loves it. Everyone always comments how awesome it sounds when you hit .

I could be wrong, but I believe the barrel is the same on the -10 and -11. I think the only difference is the end cap and the piece that goes over the socket connector. This is what a Wilson sales rep told me.

First, I'm sympathetic to your CF9 -11 issues. See my posts under the Boombah bat threads, as I/we had the same experience.

Secondly, if you are playing "A" level 10U games in TX, then I'll respectfully disagree with you on the issue of whether or not they are "ready" for a -10. There is no reason a good, 10U player can't swing a -10 bat. Several of the girls on my DDs 10U team swing drop 10s with no issue, even against good pitching.

Maybe try the Rawlings Velo. They can be had for pretty good prices. Has anyone tried one? I almost bought one off of eBay for the heck of it today just to see what they are like. It was at a pretty good price for a 2 piece bat.

65# is pretty small for a -10...Regardless of the level of play.
