Going from 22 to 23oz

Daughter swung the Demarini Insane -10 endloaded 32/22 as a 14 yr old. About 5'7" good power. Likes the end-loaded feel. Wants to swing a 23oz bat in HS and summer this year.

Any input on 33/23 balanced vs. 33/23 end loaded vs. 32/23 -9?

My 2 bits (if it is worth that)...If she had success with the 32/22 Insane, I would get a 33/23 Insane as the next step.

My DD has mainly swung Stealths, Synergys, Makos, and Xenos...she is a 5'8" thin but wirey just turned 17...she swung 32/22 then 33/23 then 33/24...we next tried 34/24, but then went to 33/25 with more success.

It is trial and error, trying to swing the longest/heaviest bat that she can square up on live pitching.

Hopefully others will chime in with their DD's bat jouneys.

Girls are funny when it comes to bats. DD2 does not like end loaded bats. We just went to a 33/23 CF9 for her and she loves it. In the fall she was swinging a 32/22 CF7 which replaced her just out of warranty 32/22 CF7. DD1 went from a 33/23 Xeno in high school and is now swinging a 34/25 Xeno in College.

IMO let her swing some different bats and weights. She will find one she likes!

Very true.

JAD - If I could ask, what bat and size is your Indian currently swinging? If I remember correctly, she was a former 1B user, as was my daughter :-(

DD is 5'10" @ 155 and swings a 34/24. She loved her SCN1B, but can no longer use it in games, which might be a blessing in disguise since she can not use it in college. She prefers a Xeno, but I bought her a Demarini CF8 because Demarini are the bats she will have to use in college.

Yeah the Indian runs out of arrows after shooting enough. The Demarini she has has given up the ghost, so it's time to get a new arrow.
