Which model OG catalyst is hot?
The FPC205, 2005 drop 10 model. Doesn't have as big of a sweet spot as the old Eastons, but will get smoking hot! The FPC305 (drop 9) is banned from use in ASA. There are a few still floating around. A well used one can be had for $50-$75. They were bad about the paint coming off though.

I picked up a 33 -10 FPC305 in very good condition for $50 a couple weeks ago at a used sporting good store. Good to hear they are legal. I was bouncing balls off a few bats on the rack and the ball really bounced off the Catalyst so I bought it. The smaller sweet spot is evident. Now, if I can just get DD to set her '15 mako down. Jeez, she will not swing anything else.

Correction: the 305 was a drop 8. I went back and looked at list. If your DD hits it on the screws it will fly! They are good cold weather bats too.

Probably saw some glue at the end cap connection. He and I probably would have tied up if there wasn't visual evidence on the bat, lol! My DD has an ump ask her if her SCN8B was her only bat during a pregame visual inspection. She said no, she just used it when was cold. He told her to use her other bat and removed the 8B from play. Coach asked for explanation he just said it was his discretion. Umpire in next game allowed the bat.

Problem is, many endcaps aren't perfectly clean from the factory...especially the 2Legit. That bat always had epoxy poking out around
the endcap. So if an ump is gonna say that, he is ignorant and doesn't know as much as he thinks.
