Wrist strap on fielders glove

It is unbelievably rare to see someone or a player who knows how to properly adjust a velcro wrist strap. It will cause a ton of problems catching the ball. Open the strap up, close the glove fully, and then lightly close the velcro strap. 99%+ will close it while the glove is open

JMHO. IME, when the girls have to constantly adjust the wrist strap and they aren't fielding the ball like they normally do, not only is the wrist strap too large, but more importantly, the finger stalls are also. This may be why your DD is now wearing a batters glove. That was the red flag for me when you said she'd never done it before with any regularity. Her fingers are probably sloppy in the stalls.

It's very important that you find a glove that fits her hand; not only length-wise, but size-wise as far as wrist and finger stalls go.

EDIT: Ww, I think they may be discontinued now, but Rawlings used to sell thick wristbands that wrapped around the wrist lap, they had velcro on them so you didn't have to un-lace the wrist to put it on.

Hey all! In typical fashion, I started a post and forgot about it. Been traveling two weekends for college softball and was on the road for work this week.

I had done the hillbilly WW version of the Pedroia mod and got it tight enough. That was much better. Now I just have to redo it correctly per the video.
