A friend of ours DD is committed to Nebraska. We were in the hunt for a new bat for my DD. Our friend's DD has the CF9 and LXT Hyper. My DD asked her what she thought of the two. She said "I think the CF9 has more pop than the LXT, but the LXT noise makes me think I'm hitting it harder and gives me more confidence even though I know the CF9 is hitting it harder. So I use the LXT more."

My DD received a CF8 for Christmas since she will be swinging a Demarini in college. She says the Demarini stings her hands more than the Xeno or MFB she has been using. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Suggestions?

Interesting! DD has always been an LXT girl. She loved the sound it made. Over the past year or so she has been making the transition to slapping and we picked up a Demarini CF8 Slapper bat for her to try. She loves hitting with it - but says she misses the sound of the LXT. The Slappers seems so quiet. Remains to be seen what she will decide to play with once the season starts again.

Yes to the Demarini Sting. It is not imagined. But I do wholeheartedly agree with the OP. The Dem's have a softened muted thud which seems benign. When the Xeno's and LXT's are hit it seems violent and chaotic! Like all hell is breaking lose. Remember the first time you heard the Xeno glass Breaking. You turned your head. Admit it! I personally hit the Dem's farther when doing fungo and the MFB. One handed over the fence fungo's to the OF's all day long.

Agreed about the CF sting. My DD went from a MFB to a CF8 and that's one of the things she commented on very quickly.

DD has a CF8 and she's never said anything about sting. She wears batting gloves but I imagine most do. Maybe she just doesn't complain about it. I'll have to ask her. She loves her Demarini.

My DD has never liked the Demarini's because of the hand sting and she says that they have a weird vibration at contact. She loved her Easton Stealth until they discontinued them and replaced her broken bat with an FS1. She swung a Xeno a hitting lesson and that was all she wrote...

I took my DD to a demo day and all they had was 33" and 34" bats. They were much too big for her. So I grabbed a bat and jumped in the cage. The Cf9 definitely had more hand sting than the Xeno. The LXT was by far the most comfortable bat.
