It says they added a 3rd gyroscope for more accuracy...that's the big improvement but it keeps track of each players swings and recommends a training program for each player based on the info it gets from their swings. Also a better attachment to the end of the bat.
I think that's it...

There are some key differences between the Zepp 1 (square sensor) and the Zepp 2 (round sensor). The Zepp 2 features a longer battery life, quicker charge time, and more internal accelerometers, however, the new Zepp 2 sensor only supports Golf and Baseball (with the appropriate sensor mount and free app).

Oh and it costs more. :)

I have been using the Zepp2 since Christmas. Never had a Zepp1, so I can't compare but I like the 2 just fine, mostly. Freezes more than it should and connecting the sensor can be frustrating but, other than that, I use it for both batting and pitching. And it does do softball.

I've been using the Zepp 2 for a while now. It seems to be better about connecting and staying connected. Really couldn't say if it's more accurate than Z1 though. Seems to read about the same, but does seem to have more detailed imaging for bat plane/path. Battery life is much better and magnetic charger is nice.

The latest couple of app versions are getting worse in my opinion though. The camera zoom can't be adjusted so you have to be way back from hitter to get foot to barrel view, the app won't allow use of devices light and there is no option to import videos to compare to. The app would be so much better if game swings (or other model swings) could be imported so they could be compared side by side with BP swings with metrics. It may be a licensing thing, but now Trout & Finch are the only Pros available to compare with.

I thought zepp was just for hitting. You can use it for pitching too??
