I think the complaint is that high dollars were spent and the longevity isn't there.
I have no first hand experience with Shoeless Joe/Jane gloves, but I've seen gloves relaced and plastic inserts placed in the thumb and pinky to stiffen it.

I've had a guy in Texas rebuild two gloves for me, I'll re-lace them but this guy put new thumb & pinky inserts in with seriously stiff lace and it just brought them back to life. The thing with the Shoeless series gloves is there's no structure from the start, especially in the fingers. To the OP, I know a guy, new inserts and some good lace would definitely help but don't expect it to last all that long. PM me for his contact info, or just PM Drakemir for a new Vinci.
