What type of tape would work well as the finishing tape on the bat grip at the top of the grip?

My DD's came off of her LXT. She likes the stock grip but the end piece of tape came loose and is driving her crazy. I've tried electrical tape and it seems to move and smear residue with the heat.

My DD's LXT bat did the same thing. I went with the thin colored electrical tape. I have also used that athletic tape the Models sells. I was able to find the tape in blue. On DD's new LXT I used yellow electrical tape. Just in case someone else on her team has the same bat.
Added: thin electrical trap I used was thin in diameter(width wise) not thickness.

Maybe I will try a different electrical tape, the kind I used was heavy duty kind from the tool box.

Yes, the athletic/hockey tape is what I also used. Don't use the 'friction' tape. That was the tape I used for my hockey stick blades. It is too tacky and will ruin batting gloves. Trust me I know.....

So you are looking for the tape just to go on the top...not handle tape.

I use electrical tape to finish off the top. They also come in a few diff colors.
Bit of advice, if you use elec tape, do not pull it tight and stretch it. Just let lay the tape
down and wrap. I have found that if you try and pull it tight and stretch it, it moves
and wont stick as well.

My dd's came loose at a game and she was also going crazy. I had some funky tie die duct tape in the softball bag and used that. It is still holding strong and we can totally tell which bat is hers real quick. It is just at the top so it doesn't affect anything other than looks.

Anyone else notice the grip on the CF8's comes undone real easy? My DD has a cf5-cf7 and the grips never came undone. Her CF8 is about two months old and the grip came off. Same thing happened to her teammates CF8.

Same for my DD's grip on her CF8 - never happened with her CF6 - had to replace it after only 3 months of winter batting cage use.
