Looking at the Jugs Practice 7-Foot travel screen.

Need to know if this can take a beating and make sure it doesn't get
the "bends" in it.

I assume you are not talking about the Jugs blue net that has no hard frame? They are horrible to use.

Have you looked at the Bownet Bigmouth $149? I've had mine about 5 years and its still going strong. I also have a replacement net that I have never had to use.

Yeah, no...looking at the Jugs 7 footer with the frame around it. I will be using it so it kinda needs to
take a little impact off the bat and figured you guys would point me in the right direction.

I'm used to getting hundreds of swings a week before weekend tournys but my fiancé broke her arm, so
my BP person is out of commission for 6 weeks so I need one and gonna decide this weekend.

let me get a pic

We have 3 of the Rukket batting nets for the DD's, and 1 Rukket pitching frame.
The nets have 1000's of hits into them, the net in our basement cage has countless balls hit into it and it looks great.
Knowing you are going to use it and you're quite a bit stronger than our DD's I wouldn't hesitate using the Bownet or Rukket Batting nets. They are light and portable. I've pounded many a ball into them.
I can't bench 405 anymore, but I'm not a wimp either.
We bought them on Amazon for $80 a while back. I think they are $100 now.

We just got the Rukket pitching frame ( to guard the pitcher when slow tossing at 15-20 ft. )
I pounded about 50 balls into to see how well it held up.
And I slow tossed hundreds of ball to the kids and their friends last weekend. And it held up great.

Good luck!

I'll second the Rukkett's for their Bownet copy. I got one a few months ago for I think $70. It's great. The netting is heavier than the Bownets I've seen and DD's PC just got a couple for his indoor facility which is home to a different TB team. They love them too. Well made.

I had that Jugs net. I sold mine, I prefer the Bownet style nets.

I would buy the Rukket or more likely the Pronet Bownet or the Bownet Elite. Both are 8x8 instead of 7x7, heavier netting and heavier poles are the difference. Comes with a sturdier bag too. I think the balls stayed in them better if you are hitting hard. Sounds like a small thing but heavy duty is just better.

I had one and did not like it. There is a metal tension cable that runs through the bars. It broke after 6 months and became a hazard. The unit could still be assembled but the metal cable was frayed and sticking out. It would slice you if you were not careful during assembly/take down.

The only Rukket I saw was 7x7...is there one I'm missing?
