My oldest DD has started playing coed softball. I know nothing about slow pitch bats. The league allows the women to use their fastpitch bats as long as they have a USSSA 1.20 stamp. What are some good bats for women in slow pitch coed softball?

What size bat does she use for FP? I would start with a 34/24. Most men's SP bats are 34/26, 34/27 and 34/28.

So its a usssa league I am assuming since it needs a stamp.

First, stay away from "exclusive" bats, just overpriced paint jobs
to line the pockets of the bigger dealers. Couple of the big dealers
LOVE these things. Miken/Worth/Demar/Easton takes a current bat,
repaints it and maybe changes the weighting, and sells those 500 or 1000
bats to just one store, then they can sell for retail because they only "made"
a certain amount and they are so "special" for just them to sell. Meanwhile,
the same bat is sitting in the regular bat lineup for 50-70 bucks less. So the store
not only pays less for the exclusive, then gets to rip people off by charging
much more.

Second, she might be forced to swing her fastpitch bat, because most
slowpitch bats only go down to 26oz. A very select few you can get
24, 25 or 25.5 now. So unless she can handle a 34/24, she will have
to use a fp bat.

If she can handle a 34/24, the Miken Freak30 is one heck of a hot bat.

Basically depends on what she can handle swinging.

She was swinging a 33-23.

Does she have a teammate who has a 34/24 she can try during BP? Get someone to throw her a couple of loopy pitches and see what she can do with it. If she can swing a 33/23 at 60 MPH pitching a 34/24 should be no problem at 30 MPH.

I would venture if she is swinging a 33/23 in fastpitch, she probably could muster a 34/24 in usssa.

The 24oz bats I know of are endloaded, but even the 25.5 Jeff Hall Legit swings very light. Probably feels
lighter than a 24oz Freak30
