DD went to eye dr. few days ago and sure enough needed some glasses. It's not a real strong script but tonight she wore the regular glasses she got when hitting at travel practice and she hit better and said she could see better lol. I didn't have her try them under her catchers mask because I didn't want to risk them getting broken. Does anyone here have any recommendations on any sport glasses? I think I'm going to get both regular and a pair of sunglasses. Thanks in advance

How old is she. DD wore rec specs (a little pricey) until she could wear contacts. She occasionally will wear her prescription wayfarers under her catchers mask when the wind is to much but they are a sturdy frame. Once she wears contacts she can add regular sunglasses as needed.

My dd wore Rec Specs. She hated the way they looked but loved the functionality. As a pitcher, word got out that it scared hitters when she glared at them.

Is she eligible for contact lens? My 14 year old DD2 has been wearing them since she was 12.

My DD needed glasses too - but she switched to contacts after only a couple weeks. She was 10. She's been wearing contacts now for almost 2 years. She said trying to put on her catchers mask with glasses was really difficult. But she refuses to wear sunglasses when catching too...

My daughter has been wearing contacts since she was 7yo, 12yo now. She refused the wear the sports goggles. The first optometrist we went to refused to prescribe her contacts, so I had to call around until I found one that would. She has never had a eye infection despite being so young.

Zennioptical.com. - good selection, great prices, fast delivery.

I've ordered from then several times. Never had an issue. They even have flex frames for kids.

I forgot about this. Yes, great selection, great prices. My DD wears contacts (has since she was 11) but my oldest DS hated contacts and is very hard on glasses. Last year (before I found out about Zenni), he went through 4 pairs of fully paid for glasses. Ouch. Now he has one nice pair and two backup pairs for less than $75.

Good luck!

My DD just wears her regular glasses and a rip-it fielding mask. She hates contacts - wont wear them unless she absolutely has to. No problems.
