For you daughter, it might be. Some prefer one piece. They are completely diff feels than 2 piece (especially CF bats), so maybe she found what she prefers.

For 99.9999% of others, no, it wont be better than a broken in CF6...haha

We now have 5 girls swinging a Combat. So I guess a little less than 99.9999%. How much do you know or have heard about the Combat?

First, sounds like you have something with Combat with how defensive you got with a joke. Second, I believe I have pretty good knowledge
about Combats and many other bats. I met with a particular Combat employee a little while ago before they released their new Maxum line and gave
my thoughts as we looked into the guts of their new bats. Nope, never heard or know about Combats.

I think Combat makes a darn good Sp bat but their durability needs work. Blown up quite a few of them
in short amounts of time. I think their whole Fp bat process and promotion needs work but that's
a long bat conversation more suited for much more time and over adult beverages...haha. Do I think performance
wise, its a bad bat...not at all. Do I think they perform equally, not at all.

I have no deal with Combat. Chris Greinert had come to our facility and did a bat demo, a few of our girls swung the bat and really liked it. As dad's we caved to DD and bought it! The more the girls swung it the better the results were. Simple for us, girls like bat, girls feel more confident, girls hit better. I agree with durability, 2 are already broken internally and now have loud rattles, my daughter's bat is still ok. I wasn't questioning your knowledge, but I know that Combat FP is a little under the radar for most people.

I played against CG like 2 weeks ago...and that's his job. To help promote/sell bats for us...haha. He can def hit bombs, but it helps he is 6'5 and 260 :)

Don't get me wrong, there is a big difference between being a top performance bat and being underrated. The Combats are definitely underrated
bats and if you figure cost into the equation, its a great buy. If you are talking mapp pricing compared to performance, no way I would buy Combat. I would
buy one of the other manufacturer's choices.
But if you're talking the prices Combats sell for a few months after they come out, heck yeah. They sell for cheap and hit decent.

I haven't paid retail for a bat yet, so that definitely figures in to the equation. Main thing for me was the confidence she hits with now. Could have also just been the maturation of her game over the last 18 months as well. Thanks for the feedback. I guess you were in Flemington, NJ a couple weeks ago? One of our coaches played up there as well, still plays pretty high level ball.

Nobody does much nowadays, but even what bats sell for while on map I wouldn't buy a Combat for those prices. A few more months and they sell really cheap
and def worth that money.

And yeah, I was there.

My daughter swings a rocketech right now and she likes it, -9. In a few months it will be 2 years old and...that time . I'm a little intrigued by the Combat talk. Is there a Combat model that would give her a similar feel as the rocketech, or one with similar construction? She actually said she might want to try a -8....although I would prefer she stay with the -9. But for ha ha's.... .what -8 bats do you like?

Thanks,

T

TJ, I'm in a big RT area and for some reason a lot of those kids are going to -9 LXT.

It doesn't make sense to me, LXT is balanced but that is what is happening here.
