I'm a big fan of the Dynasty with the pitching toe for catchers. You need to be aware that the pitching toe does make the shoe a little clunky for running, which is not an issue for most pitchers but may be for a catcher. Of course, if you're going with a Mid shoe, you're probably not worried about max running speed anyway.

For your pitcher, the Bandit will be lighter and the pitching toe will protect her shoes' longevity perfectly. The Bandit is quite a bit lighter but held up very well for the season my DD used them. We have moved on to Mizunos due to the requirements of our organization, but would happily go back to Ringors if possible.

Thanks Scotty, I was actually hoping to get an opinion from you on this as I know you've used the Ringors before (btw - any suggestions on current discount codes or such?). My Catcher DD is a decent runner but I am concerned about how the Dynasty Mid w/pitching toe will impact that. We might keep a ighter, less protective cleat in her bag for when she's not catching (she also plays 3rd and some outfield).

Bought catcher DD Dynasty 2.0 lows because of the protection of all leather. Wish we would have gotten the pitching toe as the finish on the leather is wearing off from repeated blocking. DD has never liked mids for catching. They cause the ankle protection to stick out on her shin guards.

Jdaddy, that's my logic also with the Dynasty's leather & the pitching toe. DD has never seemed to have an issue in the past with mids and her shin guards (Easton or Schutt).

DD had a pair of Nike mids years ago and it caused the ankle guards to flare. She's hated mids ever since. :) I'm going to put a thin layer of Shoe Goo on the toes and see how long it holds up.

Nike Mids is what my DD has worn the past couple years...the ones with that velcro flap around the top of the laces...

Like I said, they will be a little clunky. My DD still uses her Ringor Turf with pitching toe for practice on turf, and it's definitely a bit bulkier than her Mizunos or regular sneakers. I'm not a fan of a mid-high shoe for softball, even for catchers, but that's a personal choice.
