Hello all. My DD is 10, shes a very advanced player for her age. she plays catcher, 2b and SS. I'm looking for a high end glove that is going to last her for many seasons. We have used the cheaper gloves for years, and are constantly replacing them every season, I want to find something that's going to last her. If possible, Id like to find a glove that we can customize. Please let me know your recommendations because I have looked at 100's of gloves and have no clue which way to go. Thanks everyone!

Vinci's can be a little heavy at times just be careful what you break it in with. Mizuno Classic and Wilson A2000 FP are very nice as well and will last considerably longer.

Actually, Vincis usually feel lighter than most high end gloves. They are more heel balanced than most, and that makes them feel lighter on the hand.

If you're looking for a glove you can customize, and something that will tolerate a few years of heavy use, it's hard to go wrong with a Vinci.

As for weight, I've always thought the Wilson A2000s felt heavy.

I've got to agree with Casedawg on this one, My DD's Vinci is definitely lighter than the A2000's and Heart of the Hide Rawlings I own that are the same size.

Maybe it is the smaller sizes then because I have had my hands on bigger models for over 10 years now and have yet to put one on that felt lighter. Nothing against Pete, he makes a great glove but from my experience a little heavier.
