I have a 14 yrs old that plays middle school ball & travel ball year round and there is no telling how many bags I've been through with her. Either the bottom rips out or the wheels break or the stitching comes apart. I'm going through bags every few months. I searched "best catchers equipment bag" on Google in no errors came up & while the video on their page explaining all the featured looked convincing, reviews of the bag were not. Most were saying while the loved that the wheels were larger & therefore didn't cause as much drag that the zippers broke on some within a few days & the stitching was coming undone. I will pay whatever amount for a bag that will at least get us through 2 or 3 seasons of ball (doesn't have to be years just early spring, summer, & fall). Anyone have any suggestions?

How about the largest MaxBag? I have used one for 6 years and it has been on an airplane, twice. It came with extra wheels, which I haven't used. I even washed it at the car wash, one day.

If you can wait a day, I have ordered a large piece of luggage, that is long like a ball bag. I am going to see what it is like.

We've had really good results with the Boombah bag. Cheap zippers are the debbil!

I second the Maxball bag. We have two now. The first in last years team color, the second in black which she will use going forward. No more team colors bags unless the team is buying. Zippers are first class and the XL bag easily holds all the catchers gear, bats, cleats, batting helmet, two gloves, a mitt and what ever else DD feels she needs in the dugout.

Boombah Brute. I never seen a bag take so much abuse and still keep going. Huge inner pocket you can quickly throw everything in. I and DD don't like bags with lots of pockets. Just another place to put something you don't need.

Dd is a catcher and absolutely abuses her boombah brute and it is going on 200 games over the last 2 years. It is a durable bag.

I have to add that we have two Maxball bags that we got from allstars and I still like the Boombah better. The wheels on the Boombah are much more stable, which leads to less tipping. Tipping leads to nylon scraping on pavement, which leads to holes in the corners of the bag.

That being said, Kevin at Maxballbags is a truly cool guy who will take care of you if you ever need to do a team purchase!
