I will say that Ringor is definitely NOT what you want. My dd wears them because she pitches and tears up regular cleats, but says they are heavy as bricks and her feet hurt by the end of a tournament.

My DD loves her Ringors but maybe that's why she has muscular legs. She's getting an extra workout just wearing them:)

My dd suffered osgood slaughter terribly for 2 years. Only help doctors gave was rest and ice. We tried oscon this spring and in 1 week pain was gone and hasnt come back. It isnt dangerous, basically vitamin e. Plus directions say you shouldnt ever need to use more then 2 bottles. We went through 1. Severs is basically the same thing but in the heel, not the knee.
testimonials, severs disease, oscon

All three of my daughters have worn Ringors, and will not willingly wear anything else. Oldest is a catcher so she is putting more stress on the balls of her feet than her heels. College provided Adidas which she would only wear when the team played, but she would wear her old Ringors in practice.

redhotcoach - The Oscon really helped? I saw the website while researching Sever's. I was afraid the Oscon was snake oil :)

Axe - What do you think? Should we give the Oscon a try?

Yes. I thought the same thing too. People on a gymnastics forum convinced me to try oscon.
The letter that comes with it said "most kids with have noticable relief in 5 days and pain gone in two weeks." I didn't ask dd if her knees hurt after she started, we were on 10 days off of softball. I didn't bring it up for 7 days then asked how her knees feel. She said they felt fine. She has not complained of pain once since then. The letter says most kids will need only 1-2 bottles and the a few may have pain return after about six months and need a bottle then, but most never suffer pain again.
If you search the ingrediants it is vit e and something else (cant remember), so you could just buy those at a drugstore and try it, but for about 20 bucks I thought it was worth a try to buy the oscon.

I've been discussing the Oscon with DW. Sever's is much better since All-Stars ended 3 weeks ago. When soccer and fall ball start up in August my guess is we'll be getting it.
