Who else is as SICK OF RAIN as I am??? I'm in GA, and usually we've played 2-3 tournaments by now. But the entire state is so saturated with water that even a little rain makes the fields flood. We have yet to get a full tournament in. We played in our first one to not get rained out yesterday, first day of a 2-day PGF qualifier. The team really struggled to find a groove in the fall. They worked their butts off all winter and they looked so good yesterday! We were 3-1, and the loss was 2-1 in ITB. Then it rained all night, and all games are canceled. We've spent way more than we'd have liked on indoor facilities this year because of it, too. I know my fellow southeasterners must feel my pain. Anyway...just a vent.

I feel your pain. In SE Texas we have only played one tournament also. I think we have only practiced outdoors 3 times. Luckily our organization has a small indoor facility. It is better than not practicing at all, but can't replace full field practice. This rain just won't give us a long enough break to really dry out.

Lol, come up here to ND!!! We just got 10 inches of snow yesterday, and had like 3-4 feet of snow on the ground already. The snow pile in my front yard has reached the 10 foot basketball hoop. The kids can dunk it without jumping haha. We will have the booster shovel party soon to clean off the turf fields.

I think I'm going to have to pass on that!

Finally a little warm up this week for us - hoping most of the snow washes away today. First game is Thursday - supposed to be in the upper 50s. We’ll take it!

That's a great temperature for softball. I love the early spring, when it's just a bit too cold in the mornings but once the sun comes up it's light jacket weather. My least favorite time to play is summer. I wish all the big year-end tourneys would move to early June and we could do nothing til Sep. It's just too hot here. And I'm just sitting and watching.

Yes! I’m in SW GA. The weather has not been kind to us over the last 2-3 years. I’m tired of rain AND damaging winds/tornadoes.

We've had years where the first two months had 6-7 tournaments canceled because of rain. Not trying to brag at all this year. We have our 1st outside practice today.
50F and partly cloudy
