Don’t know if it’s allowed where you are, but in TN We have our tryouts inthe summer before school starts. If there are new kids that come in we did not know about, they get individual tryouts once we are allowed to start working. Might save on the snowshoes, lol!

It is a fall sport in Georgia. We were done by mid-October.
We're not allowed to officially start anything until Monday. I have weekly open field sessions in the gym, so new girls get a chance to come and work out, but I can't do any team activities or evaluation (of course I see and make mental notes, but nothing official). These are also optional, so until January I usually only get a handful of girls, and then they all start to show up again.

Our season officially starts Friday with tryouts starting on Monday. Snow today and rain in the forecast for the weekend with potentially more snow next week. Ah, the fun of living in the Mid-Atlantic states.

DD really would like to make the team, any suggestions for quality snow shoes? She should play up in infield?
We have already played 2 district games. Surprisingly enough we are 2-0. Also played about 6 scrimmage games. Those games indicated that we would have a hard time with decent teams.
