I have coached against many of these people in our rec league, and because they are typically owners of companies and run large corporations they are use to getting their way. During one of our softball drafts I picked up a kid that I really liked in the 3rd round. Afterwards you have the ability to conduct trades before you leave for the night. One of these coaches was trying to bully me into trading my draft pick for his 6th round pick. I told him to pound sand! There are many of other instances of these coaches trying to stack their teams in the younger levels (no draft-based on school zoning) instead of creating 2 fairly even skilled teams from the same school. I have to deal with these coach's behavior as I am on the sportsmanship board as a behind the scenes volunteer and get to dole out punishments to these big bully babies when they throw temper tantrums. Zero tolerance.
