Freshman year for DD and she was just cleared to return softball this week after knee surgery in Aug. With tryouts next week and her having spent almost no time on softball skills in the last 4 months I don't know what to expect. She goes to 4A school, largest division in the state, and her freshman class alone has 8 full time travel ball players. Without the injury I would be confident she would be fighting for a starting spot on Varsity, but with so little softball the last 4 months I have no idea where she will end up.

Well, DD was shut down by her orthopedic dr. today. Been having some serious throwing pain. Scapular snapping syndrome and scapular bursitis. Her range of motion in the throwing arm/shoulder was awful. Nothing for two weeks other than stretching to regain range of motion. If that goes well, some resistance work before beginning throwing program. If pain persists after regaining range of motion, looking at MRI/possible torn labrum. Going to miss at least a dozen games including preseason and regular season. Not the start she was expecting her senior year.

Returning the prayers for a speedy recovery! Hopefully the MRI gives the best results possible.
