Softball aside, good luck navigating the HS years...I think you already have an older DD so you are probably a pro at it already ;)

My older DD quit softball after her freshman season and switched to cheer. It was a good fit for her. My girls are very different animals.

Eric, I wanted to take the time to thank you for posting your journey with Maddie. It is rare that a poster has shared so much of the journey in an attempt to help others. I think long time members can think of others who also did so. I am so excited for you. I want to wish both your family and Maddie a great experience! Enjoy it my friend!

Thanks, Darrell. :) Being able to follow along with BB's journey, as well as a bunch of others, has been a huge help for me in being a guide for Maddie. If people can learn from Maddie's journey, it's just paying it forward. Shared knowledge is the real power of the DFP community.

Right, that is why I said softball aside..I was talking more about the HS/teenage years in general  I can barely handle 9 years old

Ahh. I see what you were getting at now. I only got a partial dose of teenage drama with my older DD. She split time between my house and her mother's. My younger DD is making up for it, though. She's a good kid, but damn, she knows how to push my buttons!

Like I said, good luck :p

I'm glad to see that things are working out with high school ball. It's a special time and it can be a great experience for the girls. I hope it works out that way for her. Just try to keep her healthy for a change :)

Thanks for posting, Eric. What a relief to get a coach in time. And hopefully the HS experience will be a great one for Maddie - playing with friends and for the community. I look forward to your posts.
