Flights!!

I just received an email from Frontier Airlines. They are offering a "kids travel free" program that may be helpful for some of us who travel for tournaments. I skimmed through it but it looks like kids 14 and under travel free with an adult fare. Frontier flies into Denver (Hub for them I think) so if you are booking for IDT or one of the tournaments in July you may want to look into it. We take DS with us and he's 12 so that would help us.

As an FYI, my dd flew Frontier the other night. Her flight was well over an hour late at departure. Don't know the reason why. There are several factors that might have contributed so don't want to give the impression that this might have been a Frontier thing alone. Again, let me stress, "well over an hour late at departure."

We took them to Colorado last 2 years. No issues. Even took redeyes home. Last year they offered us $1100 each for 4 tickets to bump us to the next day. DW wasn't having it. Wish she would have said yes.

I fly for work 30 weeks a year. Spirit and Frontier are not much different than the majors, and the cost difference is worth it, imo

My kids have both flown home with Frontier. I can say with some experience that an hour late for Frontier is probably as close to on time you might get. My dds flight was 24 hours late. She had to spend a night at the airport because they kept updating that it would be another hour or two. There were several people at the airport with her whose flight the night before had been cancelled so they were there for 48 hours.

My son's flight was somewhere around 4 hours late. He lives in Denver and he is in the travel industry. He is the thriftiest traveler I know, and he won't use them anymore.
