My daughter texted me the news this afternoon....I couldn't believe it. Praying for the Glasco family. Much like DD and my relationship, you could tell that her & her dad were close. My DD went to some hitting camps that they put on not long ago. Being a Ducks fan she followed Geri Ann for quite a while. I can't imagine the pain her family is going through.

Geri Ann helped coach a day long clinic for DD's organization a couple years ago. It was really cool talking to her while helping out with the clinic. After all the girls got their swings in on front toss, the organizer begged her to take a few front toss swings. Reluctantly, she agreed to one, which she sent towering over the scoreboard. It went 275' easy with no warmup, using a 12u girl's bat. Afterwards, she says to the girls, "All of you can do this! Just give it time and keep working hard."

She was a complete player and was very humble. God just called up a 5 tool athlete who can hit for power and also pitch in a pinch.

Thank you Geri Ann, for everything.

Terrible news for such a good family. We live not far from where she grew up. A couple summers ago we watched a Pride game and got to meet and talk with her after the game. She spent a ridiculous amount of time with us and then lo and behold when we went to the massive (Disney WWOS) her mom was parked right next to us. Offered to have dinner with us and had a great time. Such a very humble young lady and family. I hope it had an impact on DD because I hope she turns out just like her (regardless of how softball works out). Prayers.
