Thinking of sending my daughter to an overnight softball camp this year (10U).

Anyone have any experiences to share from a non-recruiting perspective?

The location we’re considering (Randolph-Macon College) appears to be run by Revolution Softball Camps.

Thanks in advance for any advice and suggestions.

We sent our DD to JMU overnight camp a couple of years when she was 10 and 12u. She went with a couple of team mates and had a great time.

An overnight with other girls who love softball. Hanging out with college coaches, college players and working at college facilities. What's not to love?

I think it depends on the child.

One daughter was not a fan of this kind of stuff and would only go with friends (finding a buddy excellent idea for the less adventurous). For DD1 she needed this to open her up to experiences.

My other daughter liked going to this stuff, made tons of friends and lots of new Instagram followers (which I think is important?) Only issue was hearing about all the food stations she could pick from...no we don’t have a pizza, ice cream, salad, or sandwich station at home. I heard more about the food and swimming pool than softball.
