No more Friday games! Showcase Season underway

I think I am liking these new recruiting rules. As a byproduct of the rules, this is the first year that DD has not had any Friday games for the Ronald McDonald Showcase. I always hated pulling her out of school.

Who's playing at the Scrapyard this weekend?

How about the Bombers Exposure Weekend? I see that there are a bunch of out of state teams coming to this event.

Heading down late afternoon and hoping to make the LSU Baylor Game if weather permits and we can get there in time. Assigned fields for us is in Cypress and hope they hold water well! Good luck this weekend OS!

State tourney starts today in CO...missing school (again) all day today. Dad will be missing most of the work day also! ;-)

ha ha. I didn't realize this was part of the new rules! I thought we were just getting lucky in all the fall showcases with no Friday games!!

There are some teams playing "practice games" today. As I understand D1 coaches can only watch games on 12 days which is basically Sat/Sun for 6 weeks. Not sure this affects the other divisions.

I think you mean that you hope Dyess fields drain well!

LOL! Yes, that is exactly what I mean

I think I am just completely waterlogged in the head after all the rain we have had in North Texas. I have had my Rev 2 for weeks now and haven't had a day to go out and try it out it has been so wet and of course pouring outside now. Hope it clears in a few as we hit the road right after school.

What has been your experience with Dyess Fields? Drain well? Supposed to rain down there this afternoon and evening. We have an 8:00 am start and wouldn't be hurt if it pushes back a couple of hours....

Good luck to everyone! We are headed to Spartanburg, SC for the USA Diamond Classic Showcase tomorrow morning. Well run Showcase with nice college turnout. 13 fields at one park. Novel idea to have everyone at one complex.

Three hour drive, but don’t play til 11AM, only one night in the hotel!

No more weekday games for coaches, yet for some reason Diamond 9 still has Friday games as well as Thursday practice games? So glad my kid has to miss two days of school for no good reason.
