We're paying $2500 for this year (fall & spring) for 12U. That includes 14 tournaments (four in the fall), two hours a week on a municipal field with lights through October, two indoor team practices a week through the fall and winter, plus additional strength and conditioning sessions once per week and nightly optional defensive practices that are position-specific. Uniforms are not included, but at $150 for two full uniforms including the helmet and bag, I don't think they're making much money off of that.

The main thing that we're paying for is a professional head coach for the team. We've very fortunate to have a coach who has years of experience coaching softball at the D1 level. And best of all, she's a she. Head coach is a woman and her assistants are current and recent college players. DD is thrilled to be in an all-female dugout for the first time in her softball career, worth the price of admission.

2nd year 10U fall/spring we paid $1600 and had a paid coach. 12U we paid around $1100-1200 for fall/spring, daddy coaches. This included all uniforms, glove or bat (sponsored by Demarini/Wilson), indoor facility, fields and tournaments. 1st yr 14U for Spring only, we paid $1200 with Daddy coaches, then another $120 for the org fundraiser and this included showcases, tournaments, indoor facility and uniforms. This obviously doesn't include all the hotels, gas, food, or weekly batting/pitching lessons. I probably spend anywhere from 7-10K per year for softball which is insane now that I think about it.

I assume for $175 per month, your dd does not have parent or rec level coaches, correct? What are speed and conditioning classes? Are these like 1 on 1 personal training sessions? How much of a discount do you get in bats and gloves? Do you know where your team gets their uniform package? What level are you?

175 a month covered everything, 2 of the 4 coaches were dads, the other 2 were ex college players.
Speed and conditioning classes were 1 hour long classes at EM Speed and Power. They went once as a team and then could go 2 other times a week at any of the EM Speed and Power locations. They also had hitting inside the facility 1 day a week and if was raining out theyd have indoor fielding at an EM on the weekend. EM also did a couple combines with the team at the teams practice fields where they clocked the speed and spin rates on the pitchers different pitches and the exit velocity and distance traveled on balls off the bats. As well as 60 ft times, shuttles, 120 foot times....
Depending on which location and time you'd go to an EM class could determine what the athlete to coach ratio would be, there were several times where my niece had 1 or even more coach to just her at the Anaheim and Corona locations.

The team was given about 8 CF 11 bats and a couple Prizms just before Sparkler and used them through PGF, still the team bats.
Bat prices for the teams players were about 20% off msrp, as were the a2000 gloves. The coaches were given about 4 gloves that they gave out to certain players, both catchers received one. Other things through Wilson, Demarini, Louisville, Evo Shield had discounts of 20-50% off of msrp.
The uniforms were through the Wilson Rep and shipped to a local sports uniforms store.
The team was a first year 14U (2022/'04 birth year) team in the 2017/2018 season. They'll be 2nd year 14s when games start again this weekend.

We're paying 220 per month Sept. thru Feb. Then nothing for 3 months because of High School. (Nice break). Then 220 for June and 220 for July. There's 2 100$ team fees mixed in. We're getting jerseys paid for and discount on certain bats by a certain sponsor. Some of our dues pays for Coaches travel. We play 4 Showcases in the Fall and 3 or 4 tourneys local and then Zoom into June, CO Sparkler and PGF in the Summer. Last year we did KC too. On top of that just for DD2 to work on her own is 30$ for an hour of hitting once a week. 45$ for an hour of pitching once a week. 150$ for 12 sessions for speed/agility which she goes to 1 to 3 times a week depending on schedule.

Same for my nieces last year except most the team were 8th graders so they didn't go dark and they didnt do st Louis. But sounds like all the other showcases and tourneys were the same. Took her off that team though as they are all 9th graders now except her, war the December 29 birthday, she's an 8th grader so we went to back to a different first year 14 team cause she won't go dark.

Think travel softball is expensive....try club volleyball! Holy CHIT!! Yeah DD1 plays club volleyball and DD2 play travel softball...yeah our lives evolve around travelling and tournaments, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

No doubt. DD is a skilled Outside Hitter whos been playing since 12U and finally gave it up this year 16U after realizing herself that the cost and amateur coaching wasnt worth the price. Not to mention certain 1 day league matches could be anywhere from 15-150 miles away.

As for 18G Fall ball, $1500, 5 showcase tournaments(Surf City, TCS, Las Vegas/OnDeck). 1-2 fielding practices/wk, 2 days indoor hitting, 3 jerseys, 3 pants, etc. Summer is usually 2K. Coaches overnight stays, and expenses eat up some of it also. Roster of 12-14

Wow. That’s cheap. How many players on the team? What is included in the uniform and how many tournaments? Did you mean per season or for the year fall, spring, and summer? This is meant for the poster who said his annual fees were $450 and included the uniform.
