Here are my settings

1080p at either 48 FPS or 60FPS. Lower the FPS is going into lower light situation or need to save space on memory card. The Field of view is fun. I go narrow. I think Josh does med. However I have been digging the new Linear view on my Hero4 and 6. So play with that and see what you like. Location is fun. Try different area of the backstops. Batting I always put on right side of back stop, or middle if my dd is pitching. Just try different . High to Low, etc

With the Protune settings. Heres where it gets tricky. I prefer a lower exposure at either -.5 or -.1. Just me, I can always adujst the exposure in post production. Sharpness should be set to med or low. I use Med. Your iso's min at around 400 max at 800 and white balance at about 5500k. This you will have to play with to get what you like. You can keep the gopro color on, however I feel the video comes out really saturated. So I just use Raw color and add color in post.

Also, Also. I have been recording more at the 2.7K . Helps when I take it to post and want to zoom in a bit. Little clearer. Then export in 1080

Hey all, late to the party but wanted to throw in my 2 cents. I have been recording and making videos for my DDs team for the past couple years. I started with zero knowledge and it was a ton of trial and error, but I love doing it and the girls on the team love watching the videos all the time. What is even crazier is girls from other teams tell our girls they watch the videos all the time!

My setup - GoPro Hero 5. I took a garage rake hook, turned it upside down, and mounted it to a collapsible selfie stick, and that's what I use to hang on the fence. It allows me to get high on the fence (to be out of people's way and also get the best angle on the field). I usually place it about 8-9 feet high, on the backstop, but not directly behind the plate, or the ump with block some of the view. I have it on 1080, 60FPS, and adjust the white balance depending on time of day/sunlight. Usually linear view, so I can get the whole field in. Narrow if it is a deep backstop. I use an old iPhone to connect to it with the gopro app, so that I can start and stop it remotely, and delete out sections of dead time or bad plays. This make editing so much easier. I use the free GoPro Studio to do all my editing, but not the latest version, where they combined Studio and Quik together. Studio makes it easier to splice clips together, do transitions, add text and music. I also use the karma grip to record off the field stuff, makes the video nice and stable when running around.

Here is a link to my youtube channel to see some of the videos I have done.

Record a couple of game clips in 4K and in post zoom in a bit. Its impressive. Like a said before experiment with outfield view and with on the line views. Even offcenter behind the backstop works good. I saw your higher elevation clip. It was cool . Also on your team clip, little is more. Record in a higher resolution if you can. Also for that kind of project record at 30FPS. Looks more cinematic. IF you are doing a running shot or quick and want to slow it down, then the 60 or 120 FPS works great and slomotion it down. More buttery smooth

Higher resolution, keep it shorter, 30FPS and don't be afraid to use B-Roll footage.

Dang, Now I want to do a video!! LOL

I'm looking through some threads for any video information. I saw your youtube page. I'm interested in seeing your mount. Can you post a picture of it?
