Trying to get an idea of how much teams practice a week. Just state your age group and how what days and how long they practice. If you want to say how much your DD works on her own that would be good, too.
DD2 team moving to 16U Sept. for new season. Team practice 3 1/2 hours Tuesday. 2 hours Thursday. Hitting lesson Wed. for an hour and pitching lesson Sat. or Sun. for an hour. Hits off tee in garage on her own most days and pitches before practice starts. I'm just curious if the upper age groups practice more hours a week. DD1 has been on teams where Sat. 6 hours and Sun. 5 hours. She's a jr. in College now.

12U: team practices 2 hours per day, twice on weekdays. If tournament, hitting for 1 1/2 hours on Friday, if no tournament, and before season starts, a 3 hour practice Saturday weather permitting. Individual lessons: 1/2 hr. pitching and 1/2 hour hitting, once per week. On own? just depends on what her schedule is, how much daylight, and whether we are in rain season. When she is out of school with nothing to do, she usually hits off the tee and pitches into bownet most days. In school, and during winter rain season? Rarely ever on her own. We're working on finding a place where she can get something done during the winter.

10u 2hrs x twice during summer. Pre-tourney add hitting on friday for 1.5hr. Post tourney 1 time that week (monday off). We will play league this fall and practice 2 hrs on sundays and 1.5 optional hitting on saturday morning.

18U.

Once season starts we have a tough time practicing.

We have league games during week, tournaments on most weekends.

A lot have jobs too, apparently sometimes they need to show up at work.

If they don't have a tourney my DD's 10U team practices 3 times a week for 1.5 hours (M, Th., Sat). If they have a tourney only M, Th. On her own with me (and her 3 year old brother) we go to the field to hit and field another 2 times a week usually, maybe 1.5 hours each time and then she may hit wiffles another 1 or 2 times with me at home (and her brother) and I may take her to the field to field grounders before practice on the day they only hit. I play basketball with her a couple of times a week too (usually after we hit the wiffles) We don't do much tee work anymore, she doesn't really like it and I am too old to argue about it.

To be honest her team practices, outside of the one where they only hit (inside), are very inefficient. They mostly do situational stuff and hence each kid may only get 10 to 15 balls hit to them per 1.5 hours....

10u ,Monday 1 hr private pitch, Wed. 2.5 hrs, Fri. 2.5 hrs, Sat. 2.5 right now while no rec or tourneys. When rec comes around fields are harder to get so once during the week 2.5hrs., hitting saturday morning b4 rec starts and fielding saturday after rec is gone.

23u -- no team practices. We had open hitting sessions and most players would attend sporadically when they were able. DD hits and pitches 3 times per week.

So far, this guidance seems to ring true: amanda-scarborough.com/how-much-should-i-practice.

12U travel and we practice 2.5 hours Wed nights and 2 hours Sundays when we don't have a tournament. DD has an hour pitching lesson twice a month, and practices hitting and pitching on her own 2-3 times per week outside of practice (with some exceptions, we're not super hard core all the time).

3 to 3 1/2 hours once a week as a team. Half the girls live in OH and the other half in SE Mich, so the average drive for the parents is between an hour to an hour and a half each way. We all do our own things during the week, hitting, fielding, etc. so it's actually kind of nice.
